TEF/TENAFLY 5K RUN CELEBRATES ITS TENTH ANNIVERSARY YEAR
The TEF/Tenafly 5k Run will hold its tenth anniversary race on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the Tenafly Middle School, Sunset Lane, Tenafly, New Jersey. The TEF/Tenafly 5k Run will take nearly 1000 5k runners, dog walkers and stroller trotters through the beautiful tree-lined streets of Tenafly, NJ. The 5k Run will begin at 9:00 am, the 5k Dog Walk and 5k Stroller Trot will begin at 9:10, the ever-popular Dog Parade will begin at 10:00, and the 1-mile Fun Run will begin at 10:30, concluding with an 11:15 Awards Ceremony for all events.
In addition to the athletic competitions and canine-friendly activities, the event will also feature dozens of exciting new vendors at the annual Family Health and Fitness Fair, from 8:00 am – 11:30 am. All profits from the TEF/Tenafly 5k Run benefit the Tenafly Educational Foundation (TEF), which uses the funds to support teacher-generated educational grants for the town’s public schools.
